Home Coast to Coast Pennine Way West Highland Way Pembrokeshire Coast Cambrian Way

Introduction The Walk Postscript

The Southern Upland Way is Britain's first official coast to coast long distance footpath. It is 212 miles long and runs from Portpatrick on the south-west coast of Scotland to Cockburnspath in the east. It works across the grain rather than following valleys or lines of least resistance so, although there is some level walking, there are also many miles up and down hill. There are no summits above 3,000' but over 80 rise above 2,000'.
